By car or by plane<\/h1>\n

BY CAR
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You can reach Monte do Casarao by car. It\u2019s a 1140-mile-drive from London. That is quite a long sit, but if you can spare the time, you can avoid the toll roads and enjoy the beautiful scenery.<\/p>\n

If you have a car navigation system, you can \u00b4beam up\u00b4 to the following coordinates:<\/p>\n

For the Pomba exit: \u00a0\u00a0 W 8\u02da36\u0301\u0301 25\u02dd; N 37\u02da 28\u0301 15\u02dd<\/p>\n

Arriving from the west (S\u00e3o Teot\u00f3nio) it is 13 more kilometers to Pomba. At Pomba you take the country lane on the left. If you arrive from the east (Monchique, Nave Rodondo) you take at Pomba the country lane on your right.<\/p>\n

BY\u00a0PLANE<\/h2>\n

Flying is rather faster and, as a rule, considerably cheaper than going by car. There are quite a few options: usually, you\u2019ll land at Lisbon or Faro. Quite a few airlines feature flights here, departing from various airports in Europe and the UK. Flying on Mondays and Tuesdays may often be cheaper than later in the week or in the weekend. Holiday flights are usually the cheapest option (we bought a return for \u20ac 120 in early May), although it may mean you\u2019ll have to get up very early. Easyjet and Ryanair depart for Faro from various UK airports. BMI Baby features some Lisbon flights from the UK as well as Faro ones. Some useful sites are:<\/p>\n

There are various car rental companies: Avis,<\/b> Hertz, Budget-rent-a car and Sunny Cars,<\/b> to name but a few. We\u2019ll be happy to help you if you are having difficulties sorting through the options. Also, we can pick you up from Faro \u2013 for a small fee.
