Casa Basta
Casa Basta sleeps 8 people. In comparison to the other cottages, Casa Basta is the highest cottage, overlooking Casarão Velho.
It contains a very spacious living room with a wood-burning hearth /central heating. The open-plan kitchen has been fitted with a fridge, dishwasher and oven. The French windows in the living room open out onto the large terrace with outdoor kitchen and sink. One of the couches in the living room doubles as a sofa bed. All windows and doors are been fitted with insect screens.
There are three bedrooms, one of which has an en suite bathroom, containing a wash basin, toilet and shower. Casa Basta also boasts a spacious bathroom fitted with two wash basins, a bath, a separate shower, bidet and toilet.

PLAN
Twice a year – once in spring and once in autumn – Monte do Casarão organises a painting week. The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. You can paint or draw using any technique and any materials you like.

March: the mimosa is in bloom. A little later than usual, but that's probably due to the bad weather. Everywhere you look, it's yellow and the air is heavy with the scent of mimosa. Mimosa is an invasive exotic species and originates from Australia.
It is considered a weed here. It is therefore not for sale. It just grows.
But it is beautiful!
