Casa Basta
Casa Basta sleeps 8 people. In comparison to the other cottages, Casa Basta is the highest cottage, overlooking Casarão Velho.
It contains a very spacious living room with a wood-burning hearth /central heating. The open-plan kitchen has been fitted with a fridge, dishwasher and oven. The French windows in the living room open out onto the large terrace with outdoor kitchen and sink. One of the couches in the living room doubles as a sofa bed. All windows and doors are been fitted with insect screens.
There are three bedrooms, one of which has an en suite bathroom, containing a wash basin, toilet and shower. Casa Basta also boasts a spacious bathroom fitted with two wash basins, a bath, a separate shower, bidet and toilet.

PLAN
Twice a year- once in spring and once in autumn - Monte do Casarão organizes a painting week. The course is for beginners and advanced students. You can paint or sketch using any technique and any materials you like. The Dutch Jenny Helder will support and coach the students during both art weeks.
September: Cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, courgettes, aubergines, peppers: our guests no longer have to go to the greengrocer. Coming from the beach, they can load what they need. They can also pick themselfes. The vegetable garden has everything. Lettuce, beetsroots, beans, onions, herbs, broccoli ... Everything just unsprayed, straight from the ground. We don´t have fruit. We planted all kinds of trees and shrubs, but they don´t bear fruits. We ate a few raspberries, that was all. Who knows, may-be next year. In that case we have to buy a few boxes more, thats for sure.
