Casa Marcanta
Casa Marcanta (T2) sleeps max. 6 people. It contains a large living room, an open-plan kitchen with a fridge and an oven, a wood-burning hearth /central heating, two bedrooms, a spacious and sumptuous bathroom fitted with a bath, double basin, shower, toilet and bidet, and a large terrace with an outdoor kitchen and sink. French windows connect the living room to the terrace. One of the couches in the living room is a sofa bed. All windows and doors are been fitted with insect screens.
This cottage takes up a central position at the estate. According to some it has the best view of all.

PLAN
Twice a year – once in spring and once in autumn – Monte do Casarão organises a painting week. The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. You can paint or draw using any technique and any materials you like.

June. The swimming pool is open again. For me, at least. I only go for a swim when the water’s about 20°C. The die-hards swim all winter long. They’re the real tough ones.
After my 10 lengths, I dry off in the sunshine and enjoy the view. You couldn’t ask for a better start to the day!
