Casa Valorosa
Casa Valorosa sleeps max. 6 people. It has a large living room, an open-plan kitchen with a fridge and an oven, a wood-burning hearth /central heating, two bedrooms, a spacious splendid bathroom fitted with a bath, double basin, shower, toilet and bidet. French windows connect the living room to the large terrace with outdoor kitchen and sink. One of the couches in the living room can be used as a sofa bed. All windows and doors are been fitted with insect screens.
Casa Valorosa is ideally suited to guests who like to be slightly more part of the world. This cottage offers a wonderful view of Casarão Velho and Casarão Novo as well as of the valleys beyond.

PLAN
Twice a year – once in spring and once in autumn – Monte do Casarão organises a painting week. The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. You can paint or draw using any technique and any materials you like.

January. It has been raining almost continuously since November. It was much needed. All the reservoirs are full and nature is thriving. The medronho is in full bloom and all kinds of mushrooms are sprouting from the ground. This includes the trompette de la mort, or horn of plenty, in English. Although you wouldn't immediately guess it from its French name, it's a delicious mushroom. Really.
